Publications related to the 2nd IGCP638 meeting of Casablanca
Papers should be submitted either in English with an abridged French version or in French with an abridged English version. They should not have been submitted to any other journal for consideration.
First the article should be submitted to the website of the IGCP638 for evaluation by a select committee, if positive the corresponding author will receive a notification by e-mail to proceed with submission to the "Bulletin de l'Institut Scientifique" of Rabat.
Two possible ways to submit your paper:
(i) as a single word file containing [title (Fr, En), authors and their affiliations, e-mail of the corresponding author, abstracts (Fr, En), keywords (Fr, En) (6 words max.), abridged version (Fr or En), full text (Fr or En), acknowledgements, references, Table & Figure captions (Fr, En), Figures & Tables (numbered)]
(ii) as a single zipped file containing [text as a word file] and [Figures & Tables as separate files each]. Figures in jpg format must be of high quality (≥600 dpi)
A cover letter should accompany the paper including 3 potential reviewers (names, surnames, affiliations, specialties, e-mails)

In addition to the paper, the corresponding author has to send two letters:
- A submission letter stating that: (a template)
- All co-authors approve the submission of the manuscript;
- The submitted manuscript has not been previously published (even partially) and will not be submitted to another journal before the response of the Editorial Board.
- A copyright letter stating that: (a template)
- The author and co-authors indemnify publications of the 'Institut scientifique', the Editorial team, the Editorial board, International and National Scientific Committees hold them harmless from any loss, expense or damage caused by a claim or suit by a third party for copyright infringement, or any suit arising out of any breach of the foregoing warranties as a result of publication of my/our article.
- The author and co-authors also warrant that the submitted article contains no libelous or unlawful statements and does not contain material or instructions that might cause harm or injury.
Any irregularity (plagiarism, piracy or recovery of data without permission from the authors and/or publishers, offenses against natural or legal persons...), will be severely condemned by the Editorial Board. The authors have to assume their full responsibility and consequences. see Plagiarism.

Except for special reason, the manuscript should consist of the classic chapters in scientific publications, namely: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion. Opt for a simple style, with short and relevant sentences. For the presentation, the following standards must be met.
Title of reasonable length; Times 14, centered, lowercase.
Author(s): first name (lowercase) and name (small cap); postal and email addresses of all authors; mark with an asterisk the name of the corresponding author.
Abstract: in the language of the manuscript; maximum ½ page.
English abstract: translate the title as well.
Keywords: 4 to 6, after each abstract in the same language.
Abridged English version (2 to 3 pages): if the article is in another language. This version must briefly present the methodology and the main results, with the possibility to references to the figures and the references list; paragraph titles, but only one order (no subtitle).
Text: 20-25 pages maximum, Times 10, 1.5 spaced.
- Latin scientific names in italics;
- Avoid as much as possible the footnotes;
- Decimals use "," in French (e.g. 1,25) and "." English (e.g. 1.25.);
- Insert non-breaking space before ":" and ";"
- For bibliographic quotes, follow the following examples: ... According to Sabhaoui (1988), these species ...; ....This section is incomplete (Ghardid 1957) ...; ...This is a continental climate (Karbid & Bouachouch 1994) ...; ...This assumption is not valid (Chekrouni et al. 1998).
1st order title: Times 10, BOLD CAPITAL, centered.
2nd order title: Times 10, bold lowercase, left justified.
3rd order title: Times 10, bold italic lowercase, left justified.
4th order title: Times 10, lean lowercase, preceded by a digit (e.g. 1.).
Illustrations : good quality required. Figures (graphs, drawings, photographs, maps, etc., with graphic scale) and Tables separately numbered; think about readability in case of reduction. Provide a caption of all the illustrations with titles translated into English. References in the text: (Fig. 1), (Fig. 3–5), (Tab. 1), (Tab. 2–4).
Figures in jpg format for photos; jpg and excel formats for graphics. Tables in Word or Excel.
Acknowledgements: at the end of text just before the references.
References: strictly limited to those noted in the text; respect alphabetical order and chronological order in case of same author(s); full titles and names of periodicals (without abbreviations); if more than 3 authors, be limited to the first three names followed by et al.; follow the following models.

Publications related to the 1st IGCP638 meeting of Dakar
Following the tradition of the IGCPs, we are planning to publish an edited volume focused on "Geodynamics and Mineralizations" within the West African Craton.
Proposed title of the special issue: "Precambrian Geology of West African Craton for Sustainable Development" to be published in J. Afr. Earth Sci. (Elsevier).

Brief aims of the volume:
The characterization of ore deposits is specific to geological conditions (P, T, t) depending on the rheology of rocks, their emplacement mode and of their tectonic and metamorphic evolution. The West African Craton (WAC) and its surrounding areas are the best candidates to focus on such ore deposits, especially in the vicinity of shear zones, boundaries of terranes…
The WAC recorded several tectonic, magmatic and metamorphic events through its Precambrian evolution. Different tools may be used to investigate the periods and areas of production of ore deposits and their relationships with these events. Precambrian geodynamic evolution of the WAC is still debated in several of its remote regions, composed of terranes and large shear zones. What kind of geodynamic model is appropriate: subduction, sagduction ("pop-down"), or other tectonic models? Can we clearly distinguish between deformation styles in old orogenic belts? Do fluids circulations and their rock interaction conditions play a major role in these belts for ore concentrations? Even though some significant attempts were addressed, factors controlling the emplacement mechanisms of mineralizations as well as the associated tectono-metamorphic constraints still remain unpredictible. Several tectonic styles and ages related to Eburnean deformation phases within the WAC for instance were recorded, yet the emplacement mechanisms of mineralizations are not convincing. There is thus a challenge and a need to further model and predict potential ore deposits using multidisciplinary and derived techniques.
All papers dealing with the following topics are considered:
