5th IGCP meeting (Accra, 2022)

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME: Dec. 4th - 6th, 2022

new This conference will be organized jointly with the West African eXploration Initiative (WAXI) as a sponsor, with the participation of the initiative "Activité Minière Environnement Développement Economique et Ethiques (AMEDEE)" and the "Centre d’Excellence Africain - Mines et Environnement Minier (CEA-MEM)". This will be also an opportunity to compare the results of investigations of Precambrian ore deposits through the same kind of host rocks within the Rio de le Plata Craton (Uruguay). In fact, it is one of the links involving another research project launched recently through Ecos-sud-Conycit.

December 4th - 6th 2022: at the "Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) Conference Hall", University of Ghana (UG), Accra from 8 am to 7 pm

The oral and poster sessions are focused on the following sub-topics:

(1) Mineral resources and sustainable development.

(2) Tectono-structural constraints, geological events, fluid inclusions, stratigraphy, metamorphism, geochemistry and geochronology of Paleoproterozoic terrains.

(3) Hydrogeology for sustainable and drinking water.

(4) Climate Change and the environment.

(5) Geophysical exploration and mineral resources.

(6) Education and policies in Earth sciences.

(7) Chronostratigraphy, sedimentology and stratigraphy of the Precambrian.

(8) Geopark, geotourism and geo-ethics for promotion of Earth heritage.

 The sub-topics may have several subjects.
