The third IGCP638 meeting will be held in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) on Oct. 15-21, 2018 and will be hosted by Félix Houphouët-Boigny University of Abidjan-Cocody, with :

-  2 days conference in Abidjan: 15-16 Oct. 2018

-  5 days field trip along with a transect on the Precambrian Formations, in the area of San Pedro, southwest Côte d'Ivoire, and several visits of mineralized outcrops and mines among which the transition of the Archean Formations: 17 to 21 Oct. 2018

The most interested participants expected for the next IGCP638 meeting are from: Algeria; Australia; Belgium; Benin; Burkina Faso; Cameroon; Côte d’Ivoire; Democratic Republic of Congo; France; Gabon; Gambia; Germany; Ghana; Guinea; Liberia; Mali; Mauritania; Morocco; Niger; Nigeria;  Russia; Senegal; Sierra Leone; South Africa; Spain; Switzerland; Togo; Tunisia; UK; USA.

This meeting will be held just after the WAXI annual meeting (Oct. 8-12, 2018) and organized jointly with the WAXI team to better (i) help establish relations between industrial partners, students, academics and other professionals for further scientific collaborations, through research programs in progress or to come and (ii) welcome granted students in different labs for rock analyses and field data processing, etc. A database, available in a server of the University of Rennes 1, is dedicated to that purpose, i.e. storage, analysis, processing and modeling of field and numerical data using large memory and high speed processors fitting big amount of data.
